sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the elder son of Francesco "Frank" Stallone Jr., who is an Italian hairdresser, aswell being Jackie Stallone Sr., who is an astrologer/dancer. Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Because of complications during the birth of his daughter, Sylvester's lower left side was crippled. This gave him the now famous "snarling" speech, slurred voice and distinctive look. Stallone had a few of his formative years in foster care because of his parent's volatile relationship. They separated later. Stallone took classes in drama at American College in Switzerland, before moving to the University of Miami. The actor left Miami before finishing his studies and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
