Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. Her music is classified by DiFranco as folk, alternative and rock and pop, however she also draws influences of jazz and hip hop. Ani diFranco was among the first person to create her own label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They came together at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
