Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. She is English, and her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised on a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an BA in acting. As a student at the academy and performing in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast to play Ashley Davenport. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe who had played a regular role in the past two seasons, was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the season's new episode. Between 2014 and the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. From June to July 2012, the actress married her long-time boyfriend actor Iddo Goldberg. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's siblings, who are all sportsmen, played in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley never actually walked -she danced, so at age just two years old, she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley became passionate about dance following this. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz at the top divisions. In addition, she won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
