Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born on the 10th of April, 1986) is a model and actress from India who primarily appeared in Hindi films. Ayesha Takia won an award called the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her part in the film Taarzan The Wonder Car, that marked her first appearance on screen. Her later appearances included Paathshaala (2009) Wanted (2010) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007, 2008) and Socha Na Tha (2010). The first time she appeared was in an advert for the popular health drink Complan. Shahid Kapoor, the Bollywood celebrity, was in the commercial with her"I'm a Complan boy/I am a complangirl. The singer also performed in the remix for Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin. The huge success of the tune on the streets of India as it was remixed led to her becoming famous. In the following months, she was receiving invitations to appear in Bollywood film projects. Takia had been scheduled to debut in Socha Na Tha due to production issues, was informed of Taarzan shortly after her debut. If she spoke out against her politician father-in-law Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi's viewpoint on punishing the victims of rape, Ayesha demonstrated her moral courage. Ayesha declared that she is vegan, when she appeared in the PETA India commercial. In 2006, she was on the list of"Most Desirable" women from India.
